Bird Log 18th June 2008

The following photos were taken at the Blackbutt Nature Reserve at Newcastle. This is a nature reserve very close to the centre of the city and a popular place for families and nature lovers. The following are the bird species that I saw:

Australian Wood Duck

The Australian Wood Duck has a scientific name of Chenonetta jubuta.

Pacific Black Duck

The Pacific Black Duck has a scientific name of Anas superciliosa.

Chestnut Teal

The Chestnut Teal has a scientific name of Anas castanea.

Laughing Kookaburra
