Hokkaido Birding.
I went for another walk down to the river at Furano today. I was looking for the Large-billed Crow, Brown-eared Bulbul and White-tailed Eagle. I have video’ed these birds many years before but did not have photos of them.
Large-billed Crow ( Corvus macrorhynchos)
I dipped out on the Brown-eared Bulbul and White-tailed Eagle. But I have seen them around here. I just have to be patient. The crow was on the tree right next to the hostel. They are quite common here. The only problem was it was freezing cold. One of the guys said it was minus twenty today. I had to take photos with my gloves on.
I had no idea which tit it was at first and had to go to the internet for some help with identification. I am reasonably sure I have got the identification right on this one.
Many thanks to http://www.hakodatebirding.com for the identification help. There is a brilliant search engine on there. Seriously fabulous.
