Yerevan – Armenia

The first day I arrived in Armenia, it was snowing. I got out of the plane from Sri Lanka after temperatures of 32 degrees Celsius to zero. The first night in Yerevan, I woke up to a couple of centimeters of snow outside.

I went for a walk around the little lake close to my place. You could see Mount Ararat from there. Pretty impressive.

In Vardavar Park, there was this strange little circular hut. I think the old geezers hung out in there and gossipped.

So many cars run on LPG gas in Armenia. This is the gas filling station. I had never seen anything like it before. Cars pulled up, the attendant pulls out a hose and fills their tank. Weird.

I took these photos in Victory Park, on top of the hill above Yerevan. I thought it was really bizarre but fascinating. I think these artifacts are soviet artefacts.
