Bogan Weir Birding

Peak Hill, New South Wales.

Bogan Weir is about 6 kilometers west of Peak Hill along the road to Tullamore. The recent rain has pushed the water level right up to the top of the weir. Last night and yesterday afternoon it poured rain so I did quite a bit of reading.

Herons in a tree
White-necked and White-faced Herons.

There were 3 White-necked Herons and a solitary White-faced Heron on this dead tree by the side of the weir. I have not seen these together very often.
