Marsden Rest Area and West Wyalong.

Marsden Rest Area is about 40 kilometers north of West Wyalong.

Field of Canola.

The canola is coming along very well. There has been lots of rain and it looks like a bumper crop for the coming grain season.

Spring is certainly coming. This Apostlebird was probably warming some eggs on a nice mud nest.

  1. Howdy

We are coming to see our niece in November who lives in West Wyalong. We live in the US and are casual birders. Can you suggest some of the better spots near west wyalong to check out the local birds? Thanks. If you have suggestion as to how to connect with someone in that area who would like to join us that would be great too.

  2. Hi Joe.

Try the Sewerage Treatment works just out of town to the east.
Also the park across the highway.
    And Charcoal Tank Nature Reserve.
Tourist Info is at the library in West Wyalong. ask them for help.
