Great Hornbills Galore

Gunung Raya – Langkawi

So up the mountain again today. I stopped off at the feeding tree for the Great Hornbills on the way up. Lucky I did, because they were not there when I came back down. Not much else, so its nearly all Great Hornbill photos.

The back of the casque is reddish in females, while the underside of the front and back of the casque is black in males. Females are smaller than males and have bluish-white instead of red eyes, although the orbital skin is pinkish. The malay name is Enggang Papan.
