Langkawi Three Days

Cenang Reed Beds – Langkawi

I will start at the end. This has been three days to finish this post. To start at the end, I was coming back from the petrol station and screeched to a halt just before my guest house. There were a couple of Slaty-breasted Rail running around with some chooks just behind some houses near a small bit of wetland. So I screamed off to get my camera and when I got back, I was lucky to spot one of them and got this wonderful photo. And it is a lifer.

Jumping back in time, I went on an island-hopping boat ride, but did not see many birds. There was a heap of these and Brahminy Kites near a feeding area for the tourists.

On the Beras Basah Island, I got a few photos of some Scarlet-backed Flowerpeckers, but nothing else.

Yesterday I went back to the Cenang Reed Beds and took some photos. Nothing special, but it was looking like rain, so I did not want to go far.
