El Retiro Resort Part Two

In the morning I woke up carefully so as not to awaken the backpackers and crept out into the dawn light. I just wandered around the grounds of the resort. I could not believe how many birds I saw.

 Crimson-collared Tanager

Golden-fronted Woodpecker
Golden-fronted Woodpecker (Melanerpes aurifrons dubius)

With race dubius, forehead, nape and vent is red. Guatemala, Belize and the Bay Islands is the range for this race.
