My Trip to China

Bird List of China

I ended up with about 44 bird species from China. Not a great haul, but better than a poke in the eye with a stick. I started off in Beijing, Which is surprisingly easy to get around in. There are subways running everywhere and they are totally efficient. I went to Yuanmingyuan Park, the Botanic Gardens, and Olympic Forest Park.

Chinese Grosbeak

The next stop was Guiling in Guangxi province. I went to the Seven Star Park and the Lijiang River foreshore.

Japanese Tit
Japanese Tit (Parus minor)

Xingping is a mega tourist town, with boat rides and old buildings. I just went for walks along the river.

Plumbeous Water Redstart

Dali in Yunan is a very nice town. It is high up in the hills so the climate is quite pleasant.

Siberian Stonechat

I stopped off at Xi Chang on the way to Chengdu and visited the Qionghai Lake and Dream Lake Wetland.
