White Crowned Hornbill

Taman Bukit Tawau 3

This afternoon, after the rain had stopped, I went for a walk along the river. I crossed the rickety bridge and there was a hornbill on the other side, the one I had photographed yesterday, or was it this morning. Hmm, I think it was this morning, such a long time ago. Then I walked along the fence, hoping to see something but there was nothing. I heard some screeching and caterwauling over on the football field and was stoked to find a White-crowned Hornbill. This was a new one for me.

Big Close-Up. Looks like Ziggy Stardust.

In flight, they look magnificent as well.

Rhinoceros Hornbill
Rhinoceros Hornbill (Buceros rhinoceros)

This is the almost tame one, he was hanging around the life-guards at the river.

Still not a good shot of the Black Hornbill, doh!
